[Exclusive]Marin Maric talked to us for his career and his return in Croatia

Marin Maric yesterday left from Lietkabelis Panevezys to join KK Split for his home country Croatia with a deal for the rest of the season.The 26-year old croatian big man talked exclusively to us about his career and his decision to leave the Lithuanian side and return to Croatia.

-Hello Marin,how are you?Let's start our conversation by telling us how old were you when you started play basketball and what did you do if you didn't play.Where did you start your pro career?

Hello Chris!I started play when i was 12 and if i didn't play i would probably be a soldier like my father.I started my overseas pro career in Turkey at Buyukcekmece.

-You started the season with Lietkabelis in Lithuania but now you decided to return in Croatia at KK Split.What goals do you have now and how did you decide to continue back at home?

Yes,i started the season in Lithuania but i had hard time to adjust life there and the system didn't fit me so well.So i decide to came at KK Split.My goals are to win the Croatian League and fight for the best possible positions in ABA League.

-What is your favourite basketball player and best teammate you ever had?

My favourite basketball player is Lebron James and the best teammate i have ever had till now is Nedim Buza from Oostende.

-What are the aspects you want to improve in your game and the top point you want to come and play in your career?

I want to improve my non dominant hand and i just want to play basketball that really makes me feel happy!
