Marcus Gilbert talked to BetCorner news about him and his career

Marcus Gilbert talked exclusively to us for himself,for his career and his dreams for the future.Former Ifaistos Limnou 27-year old guard plays now in Cyprus at APOEL Nicosia.There in the team coach is Vasilis Fragkias who met him last season in Greek's A1 games.

Let's see his small but interesting interview.

-How old were you when you started play basketball and how the adventure of coming to Greece took place?

I started playing basketball when i was 8 or 9 years old.My father was my inspiration for playing and he helped me develop the basic skills of become a good player.

My adventure coming to Greece was a long and tough journey.I had a great career in college and had some solid years overseas which has helped me to get to one of the top leagues in Europe.

-You are going to play for APOEL Nicosia this season.What goals do you have and how did you decide to play in Cyprus?

My goal is to win the championship there with APOEL and to expand my game as a player as well.I decided to play because the coach i knew the coach from Greece.He has great experience and will definitely help us achiece success with this team.

-Who is you  favorite basketball player and best teammate you ever had?

My favourite player is Klay Thompson because of his shooting ability and defensive mentality.Even though he is a huge offensive threat he still gets in done on defense.

I have had so many teammates that were great so it is too difficult to choose one.All of them helped me in different aspect in the game of basketball and life.

-What are the aspects you want to improve in your game?

I would like to improve my pick and roll game and becoming more of a lock down defender.

-Finally Marcus,What is the top point you want to come in your career?

I would definitely love to play in the NBA and the Euroleague in the next years!
